I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.

    Thanks, all! IMO, if you can get a theist to really truly understand the point Roberts made in this quote, then a hell of a lot of work will already be done. Unfortunately it is very difficult, often downright impossible, for believers to get their heads round this simple fact.
