    a clever man, not as loved in his country as he should have been till he won Oscar/Nobel Prize and after his death.

    No, he was rather controversial in his views of a lot of things, wasn't he? But a brilliant writer.

    I found a collection of his plays at a flea market this spring, I plan to read it soon(ish):
