To say that atheism requires faith is as dim-witted as saying that disbelief in pixies or leprechauns takes faith. Even if Einstein himself told me there was an elf on my shoulder, I would still ask for proof and I wouldn't be wrong to ask.

This reminded me a conversation I had with my late Father, there is a 'Faerie' tree opposite my home, I asked my father if he believed in faeires(leprechauns to USA readers) and the myth that if you cut the tree you'll never sleep again, he said no, I asked why he didn't bulldoze the tree in the middle of the field, he said "I'm not taking that chance". :)
Sounds very Irish ... ;-)
