This may come as ... not much of a surprise in any way at all but I think this movie's crap.
Which leads to the thing that may surprise you; I actually willingly watched a Keanu Reeves movie without you twisting my arm halfway up my back!
Only because Forest Whitaker was in it, though.
But he turned out to be crap, too.
"The Shield" TV show is similar but far superior to this movie. In my humble opinion. (A phrase only ever used when the opinion is anything but...)
But Forest Whitaker's crap in that, too. (He plays the opposite role to the character he plays in this movie.) I'm sure his English used to be at least barely comprehensible back in the day. Now ... I can't understand a thing he says! Liked him (and James McAvoy) in "Last King of Scotland", though. Maybe his dodgy Ugandan accent helped in that movie...?
Oh, and Hugh Laurie's shit, too. Not just in this movie, though.
Oh, and it probably goes without saying that I thought Keanu Reeves was ... no, I can't tell a lie! He was the best thing about this movie!
Which isn't a compliment, in case you're wondering.
Oh, and before I forget, why's you not yet not written to me? I seem to remember a certain someone promising to write soon rather a long time ago...

we have profaned at the Alter of Keanu and the Goddess Camden is going to rain plagues upon us, as I type she is just biding her time, be afraid James be very afraid ;D
Actually, you guys seemed to be doing pretty well without me ... if that's the word I want. ;-) Sorry, I was sleepy & dull-witted this weekend. Feeling better now. James, I don't think the movie's crap (quel surprise) but I don't think it's all that good either. Pretty good entertainment. I wouldn't have seen it three times if it hadn't been for ... yeah.
I was actually disappointed with Whitaker's performance, he's usually so good, but in this one he just overdid it IMO. He seemed kind of unhinged in some scenes ... and I don't think that was the way we were supposed to perceive that character. At least not towards the very end (if then). I haven't seen The Shield, so I can't compare ...
Hugh Laurie's not what he used to be. Let's say no more.
But who cares!! You said that Keanu was BEST!! I will never forget it!! You said it!! And I wasn't even in the country ... !! :-o
Who are you and what have you done to James???? >:-(
I am writing you a letter, just slowly ... and simultaneously agonizing over your Christmas present ... You are hard to shop for. As you know. But at least, after this, I probably won't get you Street Kings on DVD ... >:-)
Paz, I think maybe you need to talk to somebody ... either that, or you started warming up for that stag party suspiciously early ... ;-)
Sometimes things are so crazy, out there and/or annoying that I just have to share it with someone somehow. Or I feel like I simply must record my thoughts on it for posterity. This is a good place to do that.
Take the contents of this blog seriously at your peril.
I'm 41 years old. I live in Oslo, the capital of Norway. I love chocolate. I keep freshwater turtles. I like to travel and to see new places. I like to play board games and card games. I'm a big fan of Keanu Reeves, ElfQuest, The Phantom of the Opera, and the even more fantastic opera musical Which Witch. The highlight of my year is the Eurovision Song Contest. I love movies. My all-time favorite movie is Gone with the Wind. I LOVE to read. My favorite author is Terry Pratchett. My favorite book is The Count of Monte Christo.
I write mostly in English on this blog. Whatever is written in Norwegian is something that either deals with situations, persons & phenomena specific to Norway, or is contigent on the reader understanding the Norwegian language in order to get the point.

Funny how she's not responding to any of the comments on this post, isn't it?

Too late in the day to talk to anyone, they all have given up in tears :)
