... whose music I'm almost entirely unfamiliar with:
If you have to tell the reporter interviewing you that you are a rock star, then you probably aren't.
I freely admit that I've hardly heard any music by this person at all, but I feel that this is a universal truth more than anything else. >:-)

Is that Lady Gaga? if so ye must be hiding under the covers in Norway, there hasn't been a week that she has not appeared in the paper for the past 7 months or a radio station that her songs have not been overplayed.
You don't listen to the radio, do you, Leisha? I don't either, but still, I think it's fair to say this Gaga person is actually a bit of a popstar. Or rockstar. Or whatever it is she calls herself. At least I've definitely read enough about her the last few months.
personally i think Pokerface is a faboulous workout song :-)
when asked about the lyrics, she said that Pokerface was about her Lesbian fantasies, got her front page on the tabloids and some of the broadsheets. She's a clever lady, ie the way she plays with the media.
Ha-ha, I though the first criteria of being a rock star is to actually play rock music... Something she's definitely NOT doing.
I do fancy some of her music, and I think she's a lady with attitude, playing with the media, but I don't think she's understood what it really means to be "a rock star". It's not just about trashing hotel rooms and taking a joint... Hah!
Sure it is! ;-)
