You're my wife now, Dave ...

I may not have mentioned it before, but I'm a huge fan of The League of Gentlemen. They totally crack me up ... no matter how many times I've seen or heard their stuff before. Those of you who like British humor, extremely dark humor, crazy jokes and fantastic acting - if you haven't checked these guys out before, do it now, you won't be sorry. :-)

Here's Papa Lazarou adding another wife to his harem:

Here's Olive at the dating agency helping out a new customer:

And here are Charlie and Stella busy with their Christmas preparations and metaphorically ripping each others' hearts out:

I would like to go on record as saying that Steve Pemberton is one of the most gifted actors of our time. <-- NOT A JOKE

Definitely, ITA. Some people think it's 'too mean' or whatever. But really, if you can't laugh, what can you do.

Only me...

Currently working three jobs (though two of them will finish at the end of the coming week) so just a short message this time around.

It's something I've been wanting to say for a while, actually.

Are you aware of Reese Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton's recent "Psychoville" series for the BBC? I watched it and loved it. Probably hasn't got quite the same staying power as the League but it's still very good. Mark Gatiss makes an appearance as well.

If you haven't heard of it then ... what a golden opportunity for me to finally start catching up with all the birthday and Chrimble presents I've missed out on giving you (especially now that I'm finally earning a bit of money...).

Hope all's well with everyone. I'll e-mail you soon, but feel free to get in touch if you want to. Outside of this blog, I mean.

Bloody blogs. Humbug.

Hey, you!! :-) Yes and no to your question - I am aware of Psychoville but I haven't seen it. It hasn't been on TV here and I haven't seen it for sale anywhere. I would definitely love to see it, yeah ... ;-)

I sent you a couple of postcards this summer - one from France and one from the mountains - did you get them? They are rectangular pieces of thin cardboard with a photo or drawing on one side and text on the other ... ;-)

All is relatively well on this end. Some problems but - fingers crossed - nothing we can't handle. I'm working on a letter, keep nagging me about it ... !!

Glad that you replied to my comment - my glorious plan can finally be put into motion! Sadly we'll then have to rely on the postal services of our respective countries before the plan can finally be realised. A potentially fatal flaw, really...

I'm off to work (again...) soon so this is going to be another short message. It's my new job today (the one that I don't officially start until next week) but I was at the library yesterday so I've got all the brain power of a stunted turnip. I'll be doing my new job again tomorrow so hopefully I'll feel better after getting home (it's an outdoors job, you see - working indoors has almost finished me off this last year).

Anyway, I'm not really in a position to nag you about letter writing (though I will take the opportunity to have a quick dig about your not replying to my e-mails - it was a relatively short time ago that you were on my back about getting on the interweb wotsit, after all...). I'm hoping next week will see me getting back to my old self. If not that, then at least I'll be earning enough money to head back to Japan again next year. I'll think the matter over a bit more before I go and promise that I'll finally send some postcards to you. I'll just say that some day somewhen I'll send you some kind of postcard from somewhere and leave it at that.

I did say this was going to be a short message, didn't I...

Hi-ho, off to work we go ... again.
