White Christmas 2009

Does anyone remember the green Christmas we had here last year? Well, this year, forget about it!! Green Christmas, never heard of it. This year's holiday season is as white as it gets. Snow everywhere and it's even snowing more right now and has been for hours. It's so pretty ... !!

Just to really rub it in, I made a video. My old neighborhood looking all Christmas card-y. This was even made on Christmas Eve. :-)

Hope you're all having a wonderful restful relaxing holiday so far. :-)

Very nice. Very snow-y in Kristiansand as well. :-) I got my white Christmas! In-laws not too thrilled. ;-)

KAS, lol! I can imagine your in-laws are less than enthusiastic. But a Christmas should be white if it possibly can ... ;-)

Paz, I'm so sorry for making you feel bad. I had no idea you would feel that way. ;-)

Tee-hee!! Merry Christmas! :-D

Hmmm bad enough that you come from the country ranked the richest, most peaceful developed nation, with your perfect white christmas, you had to bring it down to that level, may I retort your 'Nyah Nyah' in a similar manner.
You think your so great with your snow, Ms doodoo head, pity that you only have a couple of hours of daylight to see it

Mr. Paz, if you multiply amount-of-snow-to-look-at by hours-of-daylight, we still come out ahead! And if that weren't enough, we also have lampposts, and headlights on our cars. Nyah nyah!

Still not at all Jealous of you guys living in a country that is the richest per head of population, most read nation of people, most peaceful nation, least populated unspoilt countryside and with your picture postcard Christmas with your old timber houses and all that heritage.
Not sure what the headlight(something you wear on your head?) and lamppost things are, never heard of them here, please explain the phenomenon.

Paz: headlights and lampposts are ingenious devices which allow us to enjoy our picture postcard Christmas even when the night sky is not lit up by the full moon or aurora borealis. We've had them for quite a while, I'm sure they'll soon show up in your country too ;-)

I heard of this lights working from elasticity must be something to behold, amazing what they can do with rubber these days. For the time being we'll have to put up with faerie lights, its getting harder and harder to catch the little blighters, but its nice watching them dance at nighttime when we have our mass orgies to the pagan Gods.
