Here in Oslo we have several, what, attractions ... sights worth seeing ... things that every tourist ought to make sure that they get to see. Most of those things are pretty old; some in fact very old. The Viking ships, the Folk Museum with the 13th-century stave church, the Vigeland Park, the Munch Museum ... But recently - last spring - we got a brand new item on this must-see list: the Opera House in Bjørvika, very centrally located and easy to get to, a magnificent building, a spectacular iceberg rising from the fjord. :-) If you come to Oslo, take an afternoon walk on the Opera roof and watch the sun set over the city. You won't regret it. :-)
Yesterday I did just that with my friends Marcos and Bruna from Brazil who have been spending a few days in Oslo as part of their summer vacation. (It was so great to see you guys!! Have a great vacation, what's left of it, and a safe trip home!! :-) The weather was wonderful, almost a little too wonderful, in fact ... we're having a heatwave here now and it isn't really comfortable until after sunset. The ocean breeze felt really good as we wandered around the white marble roof of the Opera. :-) I took lots of pictures, and here are some of them. :-)

You should definitely visit it, it's pretty unique. :-) Or if the weather's nice, then do what I'm doing this afternoon - have a picnic on the Opera roof with friends. :-D
Of course if you ever go over here, I will take you there, so you'll be sure not to miss it. ;-)
Also, isn't the light wonderful in these pictures? It was just as sunset and the light was falling so beautifully across the fjord and the white marble. :-)
