We better put up with [this world], such as it is, for I never saw much hurry on parish priests in getting to the next one, nor on parsons or rabbis, for the matter of that; and as they are all supposed to be the experts on the next world, we can take it that they have heard something very unpleasant about it which makes them prefer to stick it out in this one for as long as they can.

nice to see that you quote an Irishman, tho' not the best role model he had a fantastic mind
did you change your page setting I cannot see follow up comments?
I thought you'd like this one. ;-)
I read Borstal Boy recently - as you may remember - and I thought Behan had quite a way with words, and this especially really stuck in my mind.
I changed the setting to put the comment form on the same page as everything else, so that you don't have to click to leave a comment. Trying it out anyway. Where is it that you can't see follow up comments? Not sure I understand the problem ...
not a problem but there is now no box to tick to see follow up comments, so I have to click back into comments to see if you replied, I know I am a lazy sod ;)
Paz: I get a link to click for follow-up comments after I have posted the comment - am quite as lazy as you in that respect :)
For my own part I miss the option to comment with another google account than the one you're currently signed in to, since I still can't get OpenID to work. Though maybe I'm overlooking something?
OK, now I get the problem. I'm totally prepared to change the setting back if it creates problems for anyone. I just thought it might be simpler this way, I've heard that some find the 'click to comment' setting quite annoying.
Findabair, thanks for your input - do you see that same link after posting, Paz, if you look a little more closely? ;-) Let me know, if it's still a problem, I can change it back.
OpenID I've never even tried to figure out, so unfortunately I can't help you on that score. :-(
Don't change it back again on my behalf; I agree that it's easier with inline commenting in theory, it's just that I'm making it complicated for myself by messing around with two different accounts :)
I know, Jennifer ... ;-)
no link after posting but its not a problem will mean I have to check up on you instead of getting prompted :)
I am a dumb ass hanging my head in shame only noticed the link, hanging my head in shame
Tee-hee ... !!
OK, so then I'll assume everything works OK with the new setting unless I hear otherwise.
I hope you've learned from this ... !! :-D Findabair is usually right, so next time I hope you'll listen to her. ;-)
