True. And for rallying the common people, when necessary. Religion allows you to control the common masses any way that is convenient for you, the leader :)
Aw, Margo, you thought about me. That's so sweet. I have created an image of myself in your mind - Turtle Woman ... !! :-D
Mika, hi! Thanks for responding so quickly. You can PM me though, if you want - I have the PM option activated on my bookshelf, you just click on the link underneath the stats and it takes you to the PM form. But this works too. :-) I copied your address from your second comment and then deleted it, as you asked ... it was only up for a couple of minutes. I'm glad you think the book can be useful to you and your daughter. I will send it ... as soon as I get around to it. I'm shamefully slow with these things, but I will definitely try to get it done soon. :-)
It has your name on it now though. :-) Take care, and feel free to stop by here again if the fancy takes you. :-)
Sometimes things are so crazy, out there and/or annoying that I just have to share it with someone somehow. Or I feel like I simply must record my thoughts on it for posterity. This is a good place to do that.
Take the contents of this blog seriously at your peril.
I'm 41 years old. I live in Oslo, the capital of Norway. I love chocolate. I keep freshwater turtles. I like to travel and to see new places. I like to play board games and card games. I'm a big fan of Keanu Reeves, ElfQuest, The Phantom of the Opera, and the even more fantastic opera musical Which Witch. The highlight of my year is the Eurovision Song Contest. I love movies. My all-time favorite movie is Gone with the Wind. I LOVE to read. My favorite author is Terry Pratchett. My favorite book is The Count of Monte Christo.
I write mostly in English on this blog. Whatever is written in Norwegian is something that either deals with situations, persons & phenomena specific to Norway, or is contigent on the reader understanding the Norwegian language in order to get the point.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN I don't respect your religion. I don't care if you're offended.

Oh, by the way, I saw these little turtle figurines today in a shop and thought of you :)
I like quote!
But really, I'm responding to your BC offer (because I didn't see where I could PM you back on the BC site)
YES! I would love that book! And even more, I love that you thought of me and my daughter! The internet is indeed a neat place (most of the time).
How very, very kind of you....
I will post my address in a seperate comment and please do not publish it for privacy reasons.
You're super! Now let me go and read your blog a bit...
